How To Reboot Computer?

I’m experiencing some issues with my computer and want to try rebooting it. What’s the proper way to reboot a computer to resolve minor glitches or apply updates?

To reboot a computer:

  1. Click the Start menu (Windows) or Apple menu (Mac).

  2. Select Restart or Reboot.

  3. Wait for the computer to shut down and start up again automatically.

If unresponsive, press and hold the power button for 5–10 seconds to force shutdown, then press it again to turn on.

To reboot your computer:

Windows 10/11:

  1. Click the Start button.

  2. Select the Power icon.

  3. Choose Restart.

  4. Click the Apple menu in the top-left corner.

  5. Select Restart.

To reboot a computer, click the Start menu, select the Power icon, then choose Restart. This will close all programs and restart your system.
